This limited edition watch is called the Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887 SpaceX Chronograph, and will be part of a limited edition of 2,012 pieces. While it is branded SpaceX, the watch also celebrates the 50th anniversary of Tag Heuer's status as "The First Swiss Watch In Space." That same phrase is printed on the dial and caseback of the watch. In 1962, John Glenn wore a Tag Heuer stopwatch on his wrist over his flight suit when being launched into orbit around the earth. It was supposed to be a back-up clock or timer. This of course predated the Apollo XI mission to the moon later that decade.
The TAG Heuer Carrera SpaceX is based on the large 43mm Carrera 1887, but with bespoke hands, dial and vintage-look leather strap.
The design of the dial is faithful to that of the Heuer 2915A- large arabic numerals marking out 5-minute increments, and with a triangle marker at both the 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock points. It’s an attractive design that gives the watch a unique look in the Carrera 1887 family.
The Anthracite hands match the colour of the minute markers, with the chronograph second hand shaped  to reflect the original Heuer watch.
The watch is complemented by a great looking “vintage” brown leather strap, and is also available with the standard Carrera bracelet.The link with Space travel is marked at two places on the dial. At 9 o’clock is the text “1962-2012” and below that an image of the SpaceX Falcon 9 and Dragon spacecraft more on SpaceX shortly.

At the 3 o’clock position is the text “First Swiss Watch in Space”.
Powering the new watch is TAG Heuer’s Calibre 1887 movement, which sits behind a smoked sapphire crystal caseback which also has the Falcon 9 and Dragon spacecraft and the SpaceX logo.

 Attached to the case is a brown suede-style leather strap with racing style perforations. The rugged looking strap helps give the instrument-style dial a bit more personality. The watch is also available on a metal Carrera bracelet - which will turn it into a watch that fits very well at SpaceX headquarters (I can imagine). With a release of around November, 2012, the limited edition of the 2,012 piece Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887 SpaceX Chronograph watch was retail for $5,800.

Grantour is a collection of watches for motorsports enthusiasts and celebrates Tudor's role as sponsor of the FIA World Endurance Championship, which includes the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans. There are three Grantour models, a three-hand watch with date function, a two-register chronograph, and a three-register chronograph. While the three offer very different functionality, the racing-inspired aesthetic is shared across the entire range. High-contrast dials and the placement of the arabic hour numerals on the fixed bezel make reading the Grantour watches extremely easy. These are unabashedly sport watches through and through.
The flyback function is what sets the two-register Grantour chronograph apart from the rest of the Tudor chronographs. A traditional chronograph must be stopped and reset with separate pushers before it can be started again, while the flyback lets you do this all with one pump of the pusher at 4 o'clock. If you're a driver timing laps one after another, this is an invaluable tool. Reducing three pushes to one not only ensures that you get more accurate results, but it also means less time fiddling with your wrist and more time driving. When you're not using the chronograph, you can lock the pushers by giving them a quarter turn. Though there is no visual indicator, you feel them click into place and know you don't risk activating the chronograph accidentally.
The bistable lockable chronograph pusher at 2 o’clock is equipped with a bright red marking, which is supported with red accents on the timekeeper’s face.
The layout of the dial with the small seconds indicator at 9 o’clock, a chronograph counter at 3 hours, and a date aperture at 6 o’clock is also okay. It seems to be inspired by the 1970s Tudor Monte Carlo Heritage Chronograph watch.
The vintage timekeeper was powered by the good old Rolex Valjoux Caliber 234 hand-wound movement. However, around 30 years ago the Swiss watchmaker reintroduced the model with the well-known Valjoux 7750 caliber.
I am not sure about this particular model (in its press release Tudor only says that the watch is animated by an “automatic” caliber,) but, sold under an “entry-level” brand, it may also be powered by a mass produced Swiss made movement.
Most probably, it features the same ETA 2892 automatic movement with Dubois-Depraz DD 2054 module that powered the 2010 “re-edition” of the Monte Carlo.
It looks great, fits both casual and formal dress and must feel great on a wrist thanks to its relatively compact size of 42 millimeters.
There is still no info regarding its price but I expect it to retail at around $5500.
